حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُدَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَزَرِيِّ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عُطَارِدَ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كُنَّا نَشْرَبُ وَنَحْنُ قِيَامٌ وَنَأْكُلُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ نَحْوَهُ

Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: During the Prophet's lifetime, we would eat while walking and would drink while standing.

كُنَّا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَأْكُلُ وَنَحْنُ نَمْشِي وَنَشْرَبُ وَنَحْنُ قِيَامٌ ‏.‏

In the time of God’s messenger we used to eat while walking and drink while standing. Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan sahih gharib tradition.
