Narrator:Anas ibn Mālik

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَبَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏ وَحَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏

اللَّهُ أَفْرَحُ بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ سَقَطَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ، وَقَدْ أَضَلَّهُ فِي أَرْضِ فَلاَةٍ ‏"

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than anyone of you is pleased with finding his camel which he had lost in the desert. "

قَوْله ( حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاق ) قَالَ أَبُو عَلِيّ الْجَيَّانِيّ : يَحْتَمِل أَنْ يَكُون اِبْن مَنْصُور , فَإِنَّ مُسْلِمًا أَخْرَجَ عَنْ إِسْحَاق اِبْن مَنْصُور عَنْ حِبَّان بْن هِلَال حَدِيثًا غَيْر هَذَا. قُلْت : وَتَقَدَّمَ فِي الْبُيُوع فِي " بَاب الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ " فِي رِوَايَة أَبِي عَلِيّ بْن شَبُّويَةَ " حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْن مَنْصُور حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّان بْن هِلَال " فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا غَيْر هَذَا , وَهَذَا مِمَّا يُقَوِّي ظَنَّ أَبِي عَلِيّ , وَاَللَّه أَعْلَم. وَحَبَّان بِفَتْحِ الْمُهْمَلَة ثُمَّ الْمُوَحَّدَة الثَّقِيلَة , وَهَمَّام هُوَ اِبْن يَحْيَى , وَقَدْ نَزَلَ الْبُخَارِيّ فِي حَدِيثه فِي السَّنَد الْأَوَّل ثُمَّ عَلَّاهُ بِدَرَجَةٍ فِي السَّنَد الثَّانِي , وَالس…

Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than if one of you gets up and he finds his camel missing in a waterless desert (and then he accidentally finds it). This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik through another chain of transmitters.
