حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم

يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِ ـ ‏‏{‏الْمُرْسَلاَتِ عُرْفًا‏}‏ ثُمَّ مَا صَلَّى لَنَا بَعْدَهَا حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللَّهُ‏.‏

Narrated Um Al-Fadl bint Al-Harith:

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting Surat-al-Mursalat `Urfan (77) in the Maghrib prayer, and after that prayer he did not lead us in any prayer till he died.

I heard Ibn’Abbas reciting wa’l-mursalat urfan(surah lxxxvii). She said; sonny you have reminded me of this surah by your recitation. Thie is the last surah which I heard the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) reciting in the sunset prayer.

Authentic Sunan an-Nasa'i 985

" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led us in praying maghrib in his house and he recited Al-Mursalat, then after that, he never offered any prayer until he died."

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَيْتِهِ الْمَغْرِبَ فَقَرَأَ الْمُرْسَلاَتِ مَا صَلَّى بَعْدَهَا صَلاَةً حَتَّى قُبِضَ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏
