Narrator:Umar ibn al-Khattāb

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، سَمِعَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ،

كَانَ عَطَاءُ الْبَدْرِيِّينَ خَمْسَةَ آلاَفٍ خَمْسَةَ آلاَفٍ‏.‏ وَقَالَ عُمَرُ لأُفَضِّلَنَّهُمْ عَلَى مَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ‏.‏

Narrated Qais:

The Badr warriors were given five thousand (Dirhams) each, yearly. `Umar said, "I will surely give them more than what I will give to others."

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْله : ( عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ) هُوَ اِبْن أَبِي خَالِد , وَقَيْس هُوَ اِبْن أَبِي حَازِم. قَوْله : ( كَانَ عَطَاء الْبَدْرِيِّينَ خَمْسَة آلَاف ) أَيْ الْمَال الَّذِي يُعْطَاهُ كُلّ وَاحِد مِنْهُمْ فِي كُلّ سَنَة مِنْ عَهْد عُمَر فَمَنْ بَعْده. قَوْله : ( وَقَالَ عُمَر لَأُفَضِّلَنهُمْ ) أَيْ عَلَى غَيْرهمْ فِي زِيَادَة الْعَطَاء , وَفِي حَدِيث مَالِك بْن أَوْس عَنْ عُمَر " أَنَّهُ أَعْطَى الْمُهَاجِرِينَ خَمْسَة آلَاف خَمْسَة آلَاف , وَالْأَنْصَار أَرْبَعَة آلَاف أَرْبَعَة آلَاف , وَفَضَّلَ أَزْوَاج النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَعْطَى كُلّ وَاحِدَة اِثْنَيْ عَشَر أَلْفًا ".…
