Narrator:Itbān ibn Mālik

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ ـ هُوَ ابْنُ صَالِحٍ ـ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُ الْحُصَيْنَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ـ وَهْوَ أَحَدُ بَنِي سَالِمٍ وَهْوَ مِنْ سَرَاتِهِمْ ـ عَنْ حَدِيثِ، مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، فَصَدَّقَةُ‏.‏

Narrated Ibn Shihab:

I asked Al-Husain bin Muhammad who was one of the sons of Salim and one of the nobles amongst them, about the narration of Mahmud bin Ar-Rabi 'from `Itban bin Malik, and he confirmed it.

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

ذَكَرَ فِي الْحَدِيث طَرَفًا مِنْ حَدِيث عِتْبَان بْن مَالِك فِي صَلَاة النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْته , وَشَيْخه أَحْمَد هُوَ اِبْن صَالِح الْمِصْرِيّ , وَعَنْبَسَة هُوَ اِبْن خَالِد , وَيُونُس هُوَ اِبْن يَزِيد , وَلَمْ يُورِد الْبُخَارِيّ مَوْضِع الْحَاجَة مِنْ الْحَدِيث وَهِيَ قَوْله فِي أَوَّله : " إِنَّ عِتْبَان بْن مَالِك وَهُوَ مِنْ أَصْحَاب رَسُول اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَار " وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ فِي أَبْوَاب الْمَسَاجِد مِنْ كِتَاب الصَّلَاة , وَكَأَنَّهُ اِكْتَفَى بِالْإِيمَاءِ إِلَيْهِ كَعَادَتِهِ.…
