حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ رَأَى سَعْدٌ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ لَهُ فَضْلاً عَلَى مَنْ دُونَهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم "
Mus‘ab ibn Sa‘d reported: Sa‘d (may Allah be pleased with him) saw that he had superiority over those beneath him. So, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Are you granted victory and provided with sustenance except through your weak ones?"
Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqās (may Allah be pleased with him) thought that he had superiority over those beneath him from among the weak because of his bravery and the like. So, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: Are you granted victory and provided with sustenance except through your weak ones, through their supplications, prayers, and sincerity? They are often more sincere in their supplications and more humble in their worship, as their hearts are free from attachment to the adornments of the worldly life.
Lessons
Encouraging humility and preventing arrogance towards others.
Ibn Hajar said: If the strong are favored due to their bravery, the weak are favored due to their supplication and sincerity.
Encouraging kindness to the poor and giving them their rights, as it is one of the causes of Allah's mercy and support for you.

ظن سعد بن أبي وقاص رضي الله عنه أن له فضلًا على من دونه من الضعفاء بسبب شجاعته ونحو ذلك!
فقال صلى الله عليه وسلم: هل تنصرون وترزقون إلا بضعفائكم بدعواتهم وصلاتهم وإخلاصهم؛ فهم غالبًا أشد إخلاصًا في الدعاء، وأكثر خشوعًا في العبادة لخلاء قلوبهم عن التعلق بزخرف الدنيا.
الحض على التواضع ومنع الترفُّع على الآخرين.
قال ابن حجر: إن كان القوي يترجح بفضل شجاعته، فإن الضعيف يترجح بفضل دعائه وإخلاصه.
الحث على الإحسان إلى الفقراء وإعطائهم حقوقهم، فإن ذلك من أسباب رحمة الله لك ونصره.
