Chapter: The visit (of the Ka'bah) to perform (Tawaf-al-Ifada) on the Day of Nahr

Narrator:Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar

وَقَالَ لَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّهُ

طَافَ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا، ثُمَّ يَقِيلُ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي مِنًى ـ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ـ‏.‏

Narrated Nafi' that Ibn 'Umar (ra) performed only one Tawaf. He would take an afternoon nap and then return to Mina. That was on the day of Nahr (slaughtering).

Reported by Al-Bukhari (No. 1732).

قَوْله : ( وَقَالَ لَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْم إِلَخْ ) ثُمَّ قَالَ ( رَفَعَهُ عَبْد الرَّزَّاق حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْد اللَّه ) وَصَلَهُ اِبْن خُزَيْمَةَ وَالْإِسْمَاعِيلِيّ مِنْ طَرِيق عَبْد الرَّزَّاق بِلَفْظِ أَبِي نُعَيْم وَزَادَ فِي آخِره " وَيَذْكُر - أَيْ اِبْن عُمَر - أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَهُ " وَفِيهِ التَّنْصِيص عَلَى الرُّجُوع إِلَى مِنًى بَعْد الْقَيْلُولَة فِي يَوْم النَّحْر , وَمُقْتَضَاهُ أَنْ يَكُون خَرَجَ مِنْهَا إِلَى مَكَّة لِأَجْلِ الطَّوَاف قَبْل ذَلِكَ. ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْمُصَنِّف حَدِيث أَبِي سَلَمَة أَنَّ عَائِشَة قَالَتْ " حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُول اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَفَضْنَا يَوْم النَّحْر " أَيْ طُفْنَا طَوَاف الْإِفَاضَة , وَه…

Narrated by Ā’ishah

Authentic Sunan Ibn Majah 2975

“Whoever enters Ihram for Hajj and ‘Umrah, one Tawaf is sufficient for both, and he should not exit Ihram until he has completed his Hajj, when he should exit Ihram for both.”

"‏ مَنْ أَحْرَمَ بِالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ كَفَى لَهُمَا طَوَافٌ وَاحِدٌ وَلَمْ يَحِلَّ حَتَّى يَقْضِيَ حَجَّهُ وَيَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا ‏"

Narrated by Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar

Authentic Jami' at-Tirmidhi 948

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever assumes Ihram for Hajj and Umrah, then it is acceptable for him to perform one Tawaf and one Sa'I for them both, until he exits Ihram for both of them together."
