Chapter: What (sort of) wailing over a deceased is disliked

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏

الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ فِي قَبْرِهِ بِمَا نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ ‏"

Narrated Ibn 'Umar from his father:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The deceased is tortured in his grave for the wailing done over him."

Narrated Shu'ba:

The deceased is tortured for the wailing of the living ones over him .

قَوْله : ( عَنْ سَعِيد بْن الْمُسَيِّب ) فِي رِوَايَة حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيد. قَوْله : ( تَابَعَهُ عَبْد الْأَعْلَى ) هُوَ اِبْن حَمَّاد , وَسَعِيد هُوَ اِبْن أَبِي عَرُوبَة. قَوْله : ( حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَة ) يَعْنِي عَنْ سَعِيد بْن الْمُسَيِّب إِلَخْ , وَقَدْ وَصَلَهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى فِي مُسْنَده عَنْ عَبْد الْأَعْلَى بْن حَمَّاد كَذَلِكَ. قَوْله : ( وَقَالَ آدَم عَنْ شُعْبَة ) يَعْنِي بِإِسْنَادِ حَدِيث الْبَاب لَكِنْ بِغَيْرِ لَفْظ الْمَتْن وَهُوَ قَوْله " يُعَذَّب بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيّ عَلَيْهِ " تَفَرَّدَ آدَم بِهَذَا اللَّفْظ , وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ أَحْمَد عَنْ مُحَمَّد بْن جَعْفَر غُنْدَر وَيَحْيَى بْن سَعِيد الّقَطَّانُ وَحَجَّاج بْن مُحَمَّد كُلّهمْ عَنْ شُعْبَة كَالْأَوَّلِ , وَكَذَا أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْ…
