Narrator:Abdullah ibn Mas‘ūd

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَقِيقٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏

مَنْ مَاتَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ النَّارَ ‏"

Narrated `Abdullah:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Anyone who dies worshipping others along with Allah will definitely enter the Fire." I said, "Anyone who dies worshipping none along with Allah will definitely enter Paradise."

Reported by Al-Bukhari (No. 1238), Muslim (No. 92) and Ahmad (No. 3838, 4011).

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْله : ( حَدَّثَنَا عُمَر بْن حَفْص ) أَيْ اِبْن غِيَاث , وَشَقِيق هُوَ أَبُو وَائِل , وَعَبْد اللَّه هُوَ اِبْن مَسْعُود , وَكُلّهمْ كُوفِيُّونَ. قَوْله : ( مَنْ مَاتَ يُشْرِك بِاَللَّهِ ) فِي رِوَايَة أَبِي حَمْزَة عَنْ الْأَعْمَش فِي تَفْسِير الْبَقَرَة " مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَدْعُو مِنْ دُون اللَّه نِدًّا " وَفِي أَوَّله " قَالَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَلِمَة وَقُلْت أَنَا أُخْرَى " , وَلَمْ تَخْتَلِف الرِّوَايَات فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ فِي أَنَّ الْمَرْفُوع الْوَعِيد وَالْمَوْقُوف الْوَعْد. وَزَعَمَ الْحُمَيْدِيّ فِي " الْجَمْع " وَتَبِعَهُ مُغَلْطَايْ فِي شَرْحه وَمَنْ أَخَذَ عَنْهُ أَنَّ فِي رِوَايَة مُسْلِم مِنْ طَرِيق وَكِيع وَابْن نُمَيْر بِالْعَكْسِ بِلَفْظِ " مَنْ…
