حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ

أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ خَيْبَرَ فَأَقَرَّهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَمَا كَانُوا وَجَعَلَهَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَبَعَثَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ فَخَرَصَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ ‏.‏

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:

When Allah bestowed Khaybar on His Prophet (ﷺ) as fay' (as a result of conquest without fighting), the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) allowed (them) to remain there as they were before, and apportioned it between him and them. He then sent Abdullah ibn Rawahah who assessed (the amount of dates) upon them.

Al-Azimabadi — Awn al-Ma'bud

( لَمَّا أَفَاءَ اللَّه ) : أَيْ رَدّ , وَالْفَيْء مَا حَصَلَ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ أَمْوَال الْكُفَّار مِنْ غَيْر حَرْب وَلَا جِهَاد , وَأَصْله الرُّجُوع ( فَأَقَرَّهُمْ ) : أَيْ أَهْل خَيْبَر أَيْ أَثْبَتَهُمْ ( وَجَعَلَهَا ) : أَيْ خَيْبَر ( بَيْنه وَبَيْنهمْ ) : أَيْ عَلَى التَّنَاصُف كَمَا فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ عَنْ اِبْن عُمَر أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَلَ أَهْل خَيْبَر بِشَطْرِ مَا يَخْرُج مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَمَر أَوْ زَرْع ( فَخَرَصَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ ) : قَالَ الزُّرْقَانِيّ : أَيْ لِتَمْيِيزِ حَقّ الزَّكَاة مِنْ غَيْرهَا لِاخْتِلَافِ الْمُصَرِّفِينَ , أَوْ لِلْقِسْمَةِ لِاخْتِلَافِ الْحَاجَة كَمَا مَرَّ. وَفِيهِ جَوَاز التَّخْرِيص لِذَلِكَ , وَبِهِ قَالَ الْأَكْثَر ,…

'A’isha said the Prophet used to send 'Abdallah b. Rawaha to Jews, and he would make an estimate of the palm trees when the fruit was in good condition before any of it was eaten. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
