حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

مَرَّ بِقَبْرٍ رَطْبٍ فَصَفُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا ‏.‏

Narrated Al-Sha'bi:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed a grave dug freshly. They arranged a row and uttered four takbirs over it. I asked al-Sha'bi: Who told you ? He replied: A reliable person whom 'Abd Allah b. 'Abbas attended.

Al-Azimabadi — Awn al-Ma'bud

( مَرَّ بِقَبْرٍ رَطْب ) : أَيْ لَمْ يَيْبَس تُرَابه لِقُرْبِ وَقْت الدَّفْن فِيهِ ( فَصَفُّوا ) : أَيْ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ الصَّحَابَة ( عَلَيْهِ ) : أَيْ عَلَى الْقَبْر ( وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا ) : فِيهِ أَنَّ الْمَشْرُوع فِي تَكْبِير صَلَاة الْجَنَازَة أَرْبَع. قَالَ اِبْن الْمُنْذِر : ذَهَبَ أَكْثَر أَهْل الْعِلْم إِلَى أَنَّ التَّكْبِير أَرْبَع اِنْتَهَى. وَمِمَّنْ رَوَى الْأَرْبَع كَمَا قَالَ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ عُقْبَة بْن عَامِر وَالْبَرَاء بْن عَازِب وَزَيْد بْن ثَابِت وَابْن مَسْعُود وَرَوَى اِبْن عَبْد الْبَرّ فِي الِاسْتِذْكَار مِنْ طَرِيق أَبِي بَكْر بْن سُلَيْمَان بْن أَبِي حَثْمَة عَنْ أَبِيهِ " كَانَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكَ…

I heard Ash-Shu`bi saying, "I was told by a man who had passed with the Prophet (p.b.u.h) by a grave that was separate from the other graves that he (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) led them in the prayer and they prayed behind him." I said, "O Abu `Amr! Who narrated that to you?" He replied, "Ibn `Abbas."
