Chapter: Regarding Hanging Bells (From The Necks Of Animals)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
فِي الْجَرَسِ " مِزْمَارُ الشَّيْطَانِ "
Abu Hurairah reported the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) as saying “The bell is a wooden wind musical instrument of Satan.”
Reported by Abu Dawud (No. 2556) and Ahmad (No. 8428).
Al-Azimabadi — Awn al-Ma'bud
( قَالَ فِي الْجَرَس مِزْمَار الشَّيْطَان ) : أَيْ قَالَ فِي شَأْن الْجَرَس إِنَّهُ مِزْمَار الشَّيْطَان , وَفِي رِوَايَة مُسْلِم قَالَ الْجَرَس مَزَامِير الشَّيْطَان. قَالَ فِي الْمِرْقَاة وَأَضَافَ إِلَى الشَّيْطَان لِأَنَّ صَوْته لَمْ يَزَلْ يَشْغَل الْإِنْسَان مِنْ الذِّكْر وَالْفِكْر اِنْتَهَى. قَالَ الْمُنْذِرِيُّ : وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِم وَالنَّسَائِيُّ.…

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan."
الْجَرَسُ مَزَامِيرُ الشَّيْطَانِ "
إِنَّ مَعَ كُلِّ جَرَسٍ شَيْطَانًا "
