حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتِ

اعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الصُّفْرَةَ وَالْحُمْرَةَ فَرُبَّمَا وَضَعْنَا الطَّسْتَ تَحْتَهَا وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي ‏.‏

A’ishah(may Allaah be pleased with her) said “One of the wives of the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) observed I’tikaf along with him (in the mosque). She would see yellowness and redness. Sometimes we would place a washbasin while she prayed.”

Al-Azimabadi — Awn al-Ma'bud

( اِمْرَأَة مِنْ أَزْوَاجه ) : وَلِأَبِي ذَرّ اِمْرَأَة مُسْتَحَاضَة مِنْ أَزْوَاجه وَهِيَ أُمّ سَلَمَة كَمَا فِي سُنَن سَعِيد بْن مَنْصُور ( فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الصُّفْرَة ) : فِيهِ جَوَاز صَلَاتهَا كَاعْتِكَافِهَا , لَكِنْ مَعَ الْأَمْن مِنْ التَّلْوِيث كَدَائِمِ الْحَدَث. ذَكَرَهُ الْقَسْطَلَّانِيُّ : وَقَالَ الشَّوْكَانِيُّ فِي النَّيْل : وَالْحَدِيث يَدُلّ عَلَى جَوَاز مُكْث الْمُسْتَحَاضَة فِي الْمَسْجِد وَصِحَّة اِعْتِكَافهَا وَصَلَاتهَا وَجَوَاز حَدَثهَا فِي الْمَسْجِد عِنْد أَمْن التَّلْوِيث , وَيُلْحَق بِهَا دَائِم الْحَدَث وَمَنْ بِهِ جُرْح يَسِيل اِنْتَهَى. قَالَ الْمُنْذِرِيُّ : وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْن مَاجَهْ.…

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 310

"One of the wives of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) joined him in I`tikaf and she noticed blood and yellowish discharge (from her private parts) and put a dish under her when she prayed."

اعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ، فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الدَّمَ وَالصُّفْرَةَ، وَالطَّسْتُ تَحْتَهَا وَهْىَ تُصَلِّي‏.‏

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 2037

One of the wives of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) practiced I`tikaf with him while she ad bleeding in between her periods and she would see red (blood) or yellowish traces, and sometimes we put a tray beneath her when she offered the prayer.

اعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ، فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الْحُمْرَةَ وَالصُّفْرَةَ، فَرُبَّمَا وَضَعْنَا الطَّسْتَ تَحْتَهَا وَهْىَ تُصَلِّي‏.‏

Authentic Sunan Ibn Majah 1780

“One of the wives of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed I’tikaf with him, and she used to see red and yellow discharge, and sometime she would put a basin beneath her.”

اعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الْحُمْرَةَ وَالصُّفْرَةَ فَرُبَّمَا وَضَعَتْ تَحْتَهَا الطَّسْتَ ‏.‏
