حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى الْبَلْخِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا مَعْبَدٍ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ

رَفْعَ الصَّوْتِ لِلذِّكْرِ حِينَ يَنْصَرِفُ النَّاسُ مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ كَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

Ibn Abbas said :

To raise the voice for making the mention of Allah after the people had finished their obligatory prayer was for in vogue the time of the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him).

Ibn ‘Abbas said : I used to know by it when they finished the prayer and would listen to it (making the mention of Allah).

Reported by Abu Dawud (No. 1003), Al-Bukhari (No. 841), Muslim (No. 583c) and Ahmad (No. 3298).

Al-Azimabadi — Awn al-Ma'bud

( اِبْن جُرَيْجٍ ) : بِضَمِّ الْجِيم أَوَّله وَفَتْح الرَّاء عَبْد الْمَلِك بْن عَبْد الْعَزِيز ( أَبَا مَعْبَد ) : بِفَتْحِ الْمِيم وَسُكُون الْعَيْن وَفَتْح الْمُوَحَّدَة آخِره دَال مُهْمَلَة اِسْمه نَافِذ ( كَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى عَهْد رَسُول اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) : أَيْ عَلَى زَمَانه فَلَهُ حُكْم الرَّفْع , وَحَمَلَ الشَّافِعِيّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّه فِيمَا حَكَاهُ النَّوَوِيّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّه هَذَا الْحَدِيث عَلَى أَنَّهُمْ جَهَرُوا بِهِ وَقْتًا يَسِيرًا لِأَجْلِ تَعْلِيم صِفَة الذِّكْر لَا أَنَّهُمْ دَاوَمُوا عَلَى الْجَهْر بِهِ , وَالْمُخْتَار أَنَّ الْإِمَام وَالْمَأْمُوم يُخْفِيَانِ الذِّكْر إِلَّا إِنْ اُحْتِيجَ إِلَى التَّعْلِيم ( وَأَنَّ اِبْن عَبَّاس ) : أَيْ بِالْإِسْن…

Dhikr (mentioning the name of Allah) in a loud voice after obligatory prayers was (a common practice) during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ; and when I heard that I came to knew that they (the people) had finished the prayer.

أَنَّ رَفْعَ الصَّوْتِ بِالذِّكْرِ حِينَ يَنْصَرِفُ النَّاسُ مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏
