Biography of Salman Al-Odah

Salman Al-Odah

His full name is Salman bin Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ouda, he was born in 1956 in the city of Burayda Saudi Arabia. He showed deep interest in his religion at a young age as his studies of Arabic grammar were rapidly followed by studying Hanbali jurisprudence and Hadith with the assistance of local shaykhs such as Muhamad ibn al Uthaymeen and others.

He graduated from the Faculty of Sharia and Religious Principles in Qassim, completing A Ph.D in Islamic jurisprudence at Imam bin Saud University.

During his career, he occupied important posts; he was first a teacher at Burayda mosque, a professor and lecturer at the Islamic University of Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud in Qassim, vice president of the International Organization of Nasrah, deputy Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, a member of the European Council for Fatwa. In addition to his membership to others associations, charitable and scientific institutions in different countries.

The presence in numerous shows strongly contributed to the fame of the shaykh in the Arab world and most of them were successful. Some of the shows are: “Hajar Azawiya” (cornerstone) that was ranked first as one of the most successful talk shows for five years, “Adam” and other shows broadcasted on different Arab channels.

Shaykh Salman Al-Odah also published a number of books that were mostly translated into English in addition to writing different articles for various newspapers. Furthermore, he works daily in answering different questions that people send him; he gives classes and lectures through internet and by phone to an important number of listeners.
