Assalamu Alaikkum (Wrwb)I am Mohamed Abdullah living in Singapore and would like to enquire about the pronounciation in sura Yasin Verse mumber 9 (Pronounciation as "Suththan" and "Saththan". The ayat is as follows and the word is within bracket:وَجَعَلْنَا مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ (سَدًّا) وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّافَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٩ Why there are different prounouciations by the reciter Qari Abdul Rasheed Sufi. We decided that instead of checking with other Qari, we would like to enquire with the same Qari, Qari Abdul Rasheed Sufi who recited the sura Yasin. We appreciate your answer and we would like to hear from you soon. The purpose is to know whether both prounouciation or either one is correct. If both are correct kindly let us have explanation as we are learning the pronounciation. Ma'salam Jazakallahul KhairMohamed Abdullahemail: firstname.lastname@example.org (Mohamed Abdullah)email@example.com (Mr Abdul Rahim)Mobile: 65-90054374 (Mr Abdul Rahim)
may the peace and the blessings of Al-mighty Allah be on to you;brothers and sisters.i believe you all will agree with me that there is no book like the quran in this universe.i also want to express my appreciation to shaikh Abdul Rashid Sufi for these wonderful recitations and may Allah reward him with jannat tul firfaus.but i will like to know from the shaikh when is the other style of recitation going to be available because we only have these three (Hafs,Soosi and Khalaf an hamza) thank you and salamu alaikum!
Sheikh is reciting Qirat Suusi of Imam Abi Amar. There is two narrations for Qirat Abi Amar this one and another one called Duuri. This is a Qira'a that mainly read in Somalia and Sudan last 13 centuries but lately because of Qirat Hafsa spreaded very strong this Qira'a is going to be forgotten, therefore learning this Qira'a for Somalis is highly recommended to keep it a life and that is one reason Sheikhana Abdirashid reads this one mostly may Allah reward him. So yea don't please confuse with Hafsa. Thank you all.
Assalamu Alaikkum, huno sitheir tahay you have a very believable voice i really enjoy learning the quran i am only 10 years old and i learned the holy quran alhamdulilahi also want to express my appreciation to shaikh Abdul Rashid Sufi for these wonderful recitations and may Allah reward him with jannat tul firfaus.but i will like to know from the shaikh when is the other style of recitation going to be available because we only have these three (Hafs,Soosi and Khalaf an hamza) thank you and salamu alaikum!
As-salamu Alykum Warhamtullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatu,I see several comments regarding Shaykh Sufi's recitation and how it's 'different'. The qirat most of us are used to is called Hafs. Sh. Sufi is one of the few and leading qari who knows all 7 ahruf. He uses Khalaf and warsh a lot and at times he mixes all 7. He reads in different qira'ats therefore it tend to throw some people off if they're not familiar with qira'ats other than hafsa. Masha'Alah he's my favorite shaykh of all time.
To Brother Mohamed ABDULLAH:Qari Abdur Rasheed Sufi recites in the way of Khalaf. It is a different Qira'at. It is correct. It may sound different to you because you may be used in the Hafz recitation which is the most common. If you would like to hear a major difference, please refer to his Surah Fatiha. You will notice a major difference in the ending of the surah. I hope that helps.Your brother from America. Was Salaamu 3layakum Wr Allah Wb.
I love this sheikh, he is somalian and a great muslim every muslim country he goes he gets treated like a special person why because Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi went to Egypt in 1981 where he enrolled in the Qur’an Recitations institute and earned a high certificate in the ten recitations. In parallel, Abdul Rashid carried out studies in Al Azhar Mosque and was awarded by the late Cheikh Mohamed Ibn Ismail Al Hamdani two degrees in the ten recitations.
I had the opportunity to also get Shaikh Abdurashid's Da'wa lectures offered to many Somali ethnic communities in Europe which has enriched my love to enjoy listening his beautiful and gifted recitations to the holly Qur'aan. May Allah S.W reward the Shaikh and the team who did the work to be shared globally through the website in this world and more importantly here after - Jannah insha, allaah.Bukhari Your brother from Ethiopia
As salaamu Alaikum, verily, in the rememberance of Allah would the heart find tranquility. I listened to this wonderful recitation by this sheikh and it made my heart humble and submissive in a way so spectacular. I think this is a confirmation to me that the Qur'an is indeed the Words of Allah, subhaanahu wata alla. May Allah (SWT) make our hearts stedfast on Islam. I had the pleasure to pray with Sh. A/Rashid back in Somalia. In fact, I was once a student at the Sh. Ali Suufi Mosque. During Ramadan, I used to pray tarawiiih with him and then would come back around 3 am for tahajud. A/Rashiid was the imam and led both prayers. First time I heard his voice from the internet, I cried because it reminded me of the good old days of Somalia. May Allah be pleased with him and his family.
I had never seen someone that can read better then Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi in this world. I love his voice so much I hope to be exact like him. May The All mighty God pay him and the website. MashaAllah! What a beautiful voice and unique style! He recites the glorious Quran at a wonderful relaxed pace.May Allah grant him Jannat-Al-Firdaws and forgive him his sins and protect him from the Hellfire. Mansha Allah, might Allah reward Him a Jana. Sheikh Sufi’s recitation of Quran touches might heart. I heard that he knows most of the 7 ways of Quran recitation and that is one of the reasons that his recitation is differt comparing with other Sheikhs or Qari. May Allah grant them Jana all of them and all Muslim Umma. Amin
