Biography of Salah Bukhatir

Salah Bukhatir is an imam and Qur’an reciter from United Arab Emirates. His brother is the religious singer Ahmed Bukhatir.
Salah Bukhatir memorized the Holy Qur’an while he was still a child. His beautiful voice in psalmody earned much distinction and popularity among his surroundings.
Later on, his fame took him to eminent mosques of the Saudi Arabia. Thus, he had led prayers in Cheikh Saoud Al Kassimi’s Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
During his cursus, Salah Bukhatir has been invited by many TV and Radio programs of Muslim countries.
Salah Bukhatir’s recitation was often assimilated to Cheikh Soudais.

Assalam alaikum!
No doubt, he is one of the best reciters in the world. I listen and recites daily along with his recitation. Also, I'm working on my 'Tajweed' part since just copying won't help. Regarding his voice, it is very beautiful though I find Sheikh Abdur Rahman Sudais's voice more impressive but the reason I go for this reciter is for his way of reciting and tone. It is easy for one to follow him in recitation. About his way of reciting, I remember, when I heard his Surah Fatir's recitation first time, there while reciting verse 37 his voice become so painful as if in distress along with a longing for something. But since I don't know arabic so I unable to understand what it meant and when searched for its meaning, I can't stop myself from crying. The verse wherein Allah Subhan wa Ta'ala describes how disbelievers when thrown in fire of Hell, cries in pain and distress and longs for this world life one more time so that they do good deeds but their longings go in vain.
"Therein they will cry: "Our Lord! Bring us out, we shall do righteous good deeds, not (the evil deeds) that we used to do." (Allâh will reply): "Did We not give you lives long enough, so that whosoever would receive admonition, - could receive it? And the warner came to you. So taste you (the evil of your deeds). For the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) there is no helper." (Surah Fatir-verse 37).
From there on I concentrate more on reciting Quran along with its meaning and try my level best to read just like him. Brothers & sisters kindly pray, May Allah help me, you and others too in achieving this goal (Aameen).
I pray may Allah shower His blessings over him and rewards him good (Aameen).

Assalamualaikkum. Last night we prayed Qiyamul Lail at Sharjah with Sheikh Salah Bukahtir. What a mesmerising experience! No one seemed to have felt any strain of the long prayer; rather everyone's face was lit with exhilaration over the mellifluous rendering of the Holy Quran by the Sheikh. After prayer I was discussing with my son Farhan, a teen ager about the divine experience of standing in prayer with the Sheikh. I was surprised by the information he shared with me at that time.
" Daddy, I had the good fortune of getting a lift in his car, offered by the Sheikh volutarily - in a black Mercedes when I was returning from school at noon on a sunny day at Muweila near the School of Creative Science owned by the Bukahtir's family".
The Sheikh is a role model for the present generation to emulate. May Almighty Allah bless him with abundant peace and happiness which he is sharing with all the fellow muslims with his soul-filling recitation of the Holy Quran.

Mashallah! His voice is as sweet as honey. It like a medicine that makes you forget the bad moments that has happened right now. ,I always listen to him when I feeling depressed I listen to his voice when I am feeling depressed, I actually cry sometimes when I hear his voice. I have had the pleasure of following him in prayer in Sharjah at the mosque where he led Qiyam ul-layl in Ramadan, when I was living in Dubai. I remember how people flocked to the Masjid, to be immersed in the trance that his voice puts you in as you pray. People prayed on the roads surrounding the Mosque, which were blocked off for Qiyam ul Layl.
And the thing that is most intriguing, is that despite coming from such a wealthy and prominent family in the UAE, he is so modest and does this purely to serve Allah and for the benefit of the Ummah.

The first time I heard his voice it just suddenly refreshed me it was absolutely beautiful, then in my opinion i think his the best imam i heard out of my whole life.
I went to his masjid in the summer holidays last year in tarweeh i was very excited but when i went there his turn to read was finished and i felt very depressed.
I pray may Allah send him to jannah and make him one of the 70 000 people that will go and enter jannah on the day of judgement and may he die on a friday and not get punished in his grave.(Aameen).
may Allah bring every none believer to muslim and may Allah let you be one of the 70 000 people that go to jannah.(Aameen)

Can you believe that all my country including me try to have like your voice. I don't know the suitable words to thank you my great teacher. You are my symbol in memorizing qur'an. When I am talking to you my name is Luqman, but when I am with my friends they call me salah bukhatir. Because of my great love to you and because I listen to your cassettes and watch your pictures all the hours.
When I heard his Surah Al-Rahman's recitation first time, I though as the qur'an is descending now to the earth. I always read this Surah but I didn't able to stop crying that day as I didn't hear it before.
I pray for God that he become my partner in the paradise to listen to his sweet tone.

One of my beloved and favorite recitors is the sheikh, every chance i get to try to listen his talented voice cause his tone of voice summarizes different qualities for example his kind of tajweed is one of the most accurate tajweeds like husary and minshawi.
and similarly i excited his sort of khushuc and paying attention with readings verse by verse with his whole heart and intention.
I am concluding my comment, may allah bless you and grant to you his paradise,and make it easy and relax to your fruitfull efforts that allah simplified to you before.

I love Sheikh Salah Bukhatir as a recitor and the way he reads is like you are there behind him and listening to his beautiful and amazing recitation and when he does the khutm-ul-quraan it feels like that you are there making the dua with him. I want to meet him when my family and I go for Umrah. May allah(swt) give us all a chance to recite just like him Inshallah. May allah give him and his family a long and happy life and give sheikh sudais voice even more beautiful and good.

Not only is there complete flawless tajweed but all his recitations have a pleasent tone, which complement their meanings! This is one of the hardest things any quran recitor can accomplish!!

So I thought adaan would help, and I've tried other reciters...It kind of gave me morning minor heart attack...
Anyhow, I finally stopped my search at " SURAH AL IKHLAS BY ABDUR RAHMAN SALAH BUKHATIR"
It wakes me up with a lovely voice wakes up peacefully, not get scared by it. Subhana'Allah.

saalah is the best one of reciters in the world i listen him every time when i go to the bed when i go to school and when i learn tajweed he has a beautifull voice when he recites sura'a al a'araf he became painfull and the tears are droped me in my eyes i donot want to continue the writing but is the one when i haerd his vioce to became crying

This Is my favorite sheikh EVER!!!!
I love his voice and everything with it. My mom told me this one morning that I was reciting Surat Maarij while I was a sleep. My friend Khadija Ali (who also posted a comment) told me about this site and the sheikh a couple of months ago and since that day I still go to this sheikh.

This is my second time to listen his recitation and I found very sweet even I can say he is number one among the reciters, I wish for him and all the reciters of the holy quran for the best in this world and qiyamah.
I would also like to encourage all muslim youth to concentrate learning of the quran and its meaning. Thanks.

May Allah bless him in this world and the here after. This is the best recitation of quran I have heard, he sounds just like Shiekh Sudais, but his tone is slower, which I like. As well as Ahmed Bukhatir the nasheed singer, he's got a great voice as well, may Allah forgive them and send them to jahanam.

Salam brothers and sisters. Sheikh salah bukhatir voice is beautiful mashallah. When I heard his name i Straight went on my computer and listened to his voice. At first it nearly made me cry. Inshallah I pray one day with salah bukhatir brothers and sisters say inshallah and keep on praying to Allah. Salam brothers and sisters.

Bukhatir's recitation of Quran and, hey, it had really softened my heart! His voice is so beautiful and, may I say, humble in the best meaning of that word.

Salah Abu Khatir, subhan Allah when you pray behind him you wish the pray never finish.
May Allah bless him, we like his voice and mostly we listen to him and shk sudesi as well, the first time I pray behind him was on 1999 and since then he become the favorite reciter to us.
