Biography of Abu Bakr Al Shatri

Abu Bakr al Shatri, born Abu Bakr Ibn Mohamed Al Shatri in 1970 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), is Saudi imam and Qur’an reciter.
bu Bakr Al Shatri grew up in Jeddah and graduated in Holy Qur’an Studies from Cheikh Aymane Rochdi Suwaid in 1416 Hijri and then earned a master in accountancy four years later.
Abu Bakr Al Shatri has led prayers in many Saudi mosques like Al Rajihi, Said Ibn Jubair (Kandara), Abdullatif Jamil, Attakwa (Al Rawda), AChouiaibi (Assalama). He is currently the imam of Al Furkane Mosque in Hay Annassim, Jeddah.
Abu Bakr Al Shatri participated in numerous Islamic conferences and events in many Muslim countries like Egypt, South Africa, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
Abu Bakr Al Shatri is married and has four children. He is known as Abi Abdarrahmane.

Assalaamu-Alaikum to my many Muslim sisters and brothers. I am writing from Guyana on the continent of South America. I am very mesmerised by the lovely voice and Qiraah style of our beloved Qari Al Shaikh Shaikh Abu Bakr Ash-Shatri.Ever since my husband had introduced me to Al Shaikh's beautiful recitations, seven years ago,by Allah's swt Grace and Mercy,I have been able to increase my knowledge in The Glorious Qur'an. I totally enjoy Al Shaikh Shatri's relaxed and calm manner of reciting. It is very soothing to the soul. I hope that our beloved Al Shaikh will be able to visit us in beautiful Guyana where he can mix his beautiful voice rendering the pure words of Allah swt with our clean, fresh air...ameen. May Allah swt continue to bless our dear Al Shaikh and and his dear ones and grant them the bounties of this world and the bounties of the Here-after...ameen. May Allah swt also have mercy on all the Muslims and grant us goodness in this world and in the Here-after. Ameen.

Just to thank everybody who has found assabile.com and ask them to make invocation for me so that i will be able to recite CORAN Like CHEIKH SHAATR..His recitation is clearly enough so that i wanna be like him. His voice!!! I think that is one of the best voices in recitation.I have memorize all CORAN but i need someone who know tadjweed like Cheikh Aymane Souwayd Rochid to perform my reading. Thank to everybody.

Words can not really express how I do feel when ever i listen to this wonderful, melodious and immaculate voice of Abu Bakr Al Shati, I have been searching in every comer of this world just to see his picture, but ALHAMDULILLAH I have also seen his enlighten face. Salama alaikum. Words cannot describe how much I love and appreciate this brother. Alhamdulillah, with his voice and beautiful recitation I have been able to memorize parts of the Quran. 9 years ago when I knew so little of the Quran and had equally meager in it, Allah guided me to love his voice and recitation, I thank Allah for that and this is the greatest gift of all. Sheikh's recitation of Quran al kareem touches the heart of a person who has the belief of youm ul akhirah. He is truly my hero and I want to see him insha Allah. I am truly inspired with the way Aboubakar shatri recites the holy Quran and any time I listen to his audio cassettes I always have the zeal to go and memorize the Quran...eventually I am now in a Quranic memorization school .. I am an English graduate student. I thank you a lot aboubakar shatri for giving me the courage and zeal to go and struggle in the part of Allah. May Allah guide all of us.

Greetings from Columbus, Ohio USA - I have enjoyed this Brothers unique expression in the recitation of the Majestic Qur'an via computer many times. For my American ears his voice is something I understand - I find peace in listening to his gentle and eloquent voice making the Qur'an accessible in this day and age in this far away place.
